My interest lies in psychological realism and focuses on the dynamic that exists between the everyday, phenomenology and transfiguration. I believe that I need to understand others to better understand myself, and this manifests in image-making as a method of transcending spoken language. I want to visually represent the ideas in my mind, ultimately hoping they materialize as a deeper consideration of self; and I am wholly invested in the pursuit of sharing stories. By exploring another’s journey we can gain further insight into and connection with each other, which can eventually tease out much-needed empathy. This process is especially important in bridging the gaps in our perceptions, allowing for enhanced connection – narrowing the chasms that divides us, and leading us to find an elusive harmony.
